For some reason, I rarely think to go through my favorites list on Etsy when I plan to buy new clothes, but every time I go on Etsy to look at jewelry, I favorite a bunch of shirts. Must rewire circuits, I suppose.

Someone please buy me this sweatshirt! I’ll take a size small in grey.

Someone please buy me these Wellingtons!

Someone please buy me this necklace as well! The wanderlust vibe paired with the little ferris wheel is so perfect for me.

Someone please buy me this coffee cup cozie! But I want to wear it as a wrist cuff rather than use it as a cozie. Is that weird?

Someone please buy me this locket!
(And get ready for a smattering of ferris wheel items I’m coveting…)

Someone please buy me this string of flags so I can hang them up in my room!

Zappos.com is the best!
I love rain but rarely get to experience it now that I live in LA. It’s usually limited to a few times a year, and each period of rain generally lasts no more than a few days. The only bad thing about it is that LA just wasn’t built to handle water. There’s no proper drainage, and it doesn’t take very much coming down to leave puddles everywhere. Before you know it, my street is entirely submerged and I can’t take a step anywhere without my shoes instantly getting soaked through. Every time it happens, I think about buying rain boots. Then I think it’s silly to do that when it rains so infrequently. But I’ve always really wanted yellow Wellington boots, and the solid week of rain we’ve been having made me decide on Wednesday afternoon to finally just get some. I found exactly what I was looking for on Zappos, so I ordered them knowing that they wouldn’t get here until after this storm had passed, but at least I’d have them for the next time.
That night, I got an email from Zappos telling me that they’d chosen my order for free special priority processing, so it was upgraded to next day shipping. I was really excited, thinking I’d get the boots on Friday and be able to wear them at least once before the weather cleared up. When I got the shipping confirmation number from them and checked the UPS website, I realized they’d even done better than that: they got my order out Wednesday night, meaning my boots arrived yesterday!
I like to think maybe someone at Zappos saw the address my boots were shipping to, knew about the rain we’ve been having here, realized how nice it would be if I got my boots before the rain stops this weekend, and decided to speed them along. Even if that’s not the case, even if it was just a random upgrade, it still made me really happy to get them the day after I ordered them. And it definitely had brand impact on me, because from now on when I need new shoes of any kind, I’m getting them from Zappos.

Well goddamn. I don’t even really follow Women’s Professional Soccer - but I REALLY want one of those jerseys.

Someone please buy me one of these jerseys! Not because I follow soccer, just because they’re awesome!

I got my Secret Santa gift!
Thank you Jada (hipincognito.tumblr.com)!
This is beyond perfect. I go through Moleskines like it’s my part-time job. And I know she spent a lot of time looking through the piles of crap on my Tumblr to find those wonderful photos. It’s just beautiful. I will have a happy holiday for sure this year!
For those of you coming from my Twitter account (or Facebook), in the Tumblr community, there is a Secret Santa exchange. Tumblrs (AKA bloggers) each get randomly assigned another Tumblr and we trade! It’s fun and fabulous.
This is awesome! I adore Moleskines too. I love this idea for personalizing them and might have to modify some for myself!

Translation: LOLCats are funny and cute. And with this LOLMagnetz set, making your own LOLCats is very easy. Just get a picture of the Cat (or other animal of your choosing) and use the Magnetz to build the caption right on your refrigerator. Because they are magnets, they will also hold the picture they are captioning. It’s amazing; it’s a miracle; it’s LOLMagnetz.

As anyone that has followed my tumblr for a while may know, when I find really cool material things that I wish I owned, I often post them accompanied by the phrase “Someone please buy me this ______”.
About a week ago, I tumbled this adorable little necklace in such a way, and the lovely Emily aka suggestions did something unbelievably nice: she sent it to me!
Emily, thank you so much! I absolutely adore it, and getting an early birthday present picked me up after a week that was less than awesome. You really should email me your address so I can send you something in return!
